The leader in color/gray balance control adds another cooperation partner
As already announced, the world’s leading provider of systems for process control, quality assurance and standardization in the graphics industry presented at IPEX a new product solution with Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) for sheetfed presses that aroused great interest. The KBA QualiTronic Color Control inline color measuring and control system is combined and completely integrated with the full version of System Brunner’s Instrument Flight® inking unit control software. This provides genuine closed-loop control with the priority on color/gray balance during the color matching phase and production and enables the productivity potential of KBA presses to be utilized even better with the highest color quality.
With this development, System Brunner further strengthens its leadership position in color control with the priority on color/gray balance. The new cooperation with KBA adds to the well-established partnerships with QuadTech (inline color control for web offset) and manro-land (sheetfed offset).
System Brunner has been successfully working together with manroland for many years. The latest product to be added to this OEM cooperation is okBalance® for manroland’s sheetfed presses. With okBalance, print production from the defined ok sheet onwards is controlled with the priority on gray balance. okBalance is now also available for the ICP inline color measuring and control system on sheetfed presses.
System Brunner’s partnership with QuadTech, one of the leading providers of technology for web offset control systems, is extremely successful as well. The CSS (QuadTech Color Control System) for inline inking unit control works with the Instrument Flight® full version. The further developed version, CCS- Instrument Flight® + L*a*b*, works with a new spectral scanner from QuadTech. Besides the previous process parameters, this now provides Instru-ment Flight with additional colorimetrically measured data that is included in the color control function.
System Brunner’s cooperation with manroland, QuadTech and KBA shows the enormous potential of the Instrument Flight technology based on the color/gray balance principle. In times of increasing pressure on profit margins, and the need to produce ever more efficiently, high-performance inline color control systems are increasingly important. System Brunner offers proven and upgradable solutions that enable modern offset presses (sheetfed and web) to reach a new level of productivity and color fidelity.
