Thijsen Media Group (TMG) invests in Color Control System with Instrument Flight®
The family-owned company Thijsen Media Group in Emmen / Buren (Holland) has upgraded a 16-page MAN POLYMAN commercial web press with the automatic inline color control system CCS-IF from Quad Tech / System Brunner. This press, which was installed in 1991, produces among other things advertising brochures and catalogues for the local retail industry. During production CCS-IF records over 30 influencing criteria that are important for the picture, compares these with the EUROSTANDARD reference values, and makes any color corrections necessary for all ink slide zones automatically in accordance with System Brunner gray balance control. The color regulation priorities are based on human visual perception and ensure quality within the tolerances of industrial standards. Peter Rowlands, Technical Coordinator at TMG, expects this will provide considerable savings in paper and time as well as improved color consistency over the entire production run. In this respect he and his team have already had good results with CCS-IF and they are convinced that the payback period for this upgrade will be short.
