Measuring, analyzing, optimizing
Proof Checker evaluates analog or digital proofs and digital or classic offset prints. With one scan measurement of the Proof Zebrastrip® it can be ascertained within seconds whether a proof conforms to the definitions of a print standard such as Eurostandard System Brunner®.
Important functions:
- Measuring, analyzing and optimizing digital proofs
- Exclusive System Brunner 5-Star-Rating
![]()
- Balance Homogeneity with gray balance characteristic curve
- Instrument Flight® technology
- Proof characteristic curve portrayal in an Isocontours® diagram
- Lab diagramm and measured value table
- Eurostandard System Brunner® and ICC-registered references integrated
Result analysis with comprehensive reports
Besides the Proof Report with star rating, all diagram views can be printed out or digitally stored. Special labels can be printed out in color or black and white and attached to the proof. Quality control can thus be communicated internally and externally.
Balance Homogeneity at 20 tonal value steps
A new development from System Brunner is the definition Balance Homogeneity®. This describes how neutral the gray balance remains over the entire tonal value range. The 20 gray balance patches on the Proof Zebrastrip are measured and portrayed in the System Brunner Hexagon as a balance characteristic curve which visualizes deviations from the neutral gray axis.
Exklusive 5-Star-Rating
The exclusive star rating system simply visualizes the quality of a proof compared with a defined print standard. Here up to 50 influencing parameters are grouped and weighted. A proof must achieve at least 3 stars

to meet the quality requirements of commercial printing.
Standardized proofs and a simpler matching process
A proof should always be oriented on the printing process and optimally simulate it. This is the only way to meet the prerequisites for standardized print production and avoid the compromise of subjective color matching.
